Meet Chief Examiner Mr Terry Chew B.Sc

Mr Terry Chew BSc. is the coach and author of the celebrated series ‘Maths Olympiad – Unleash The Maths Olympian in You!’ and ‘Wicked Mathematics’. His strong and proven critical thinking teaching methodology has helped more than 50,000 students in Singapore and more than 15 other countries.

Having done extensive research in the field of critical problem solving, mathematical logic and competition question setting, Terry has created the RA*CE framework which has helped students consistently achieve Platinum and Gold awards in prestigious Southeast Asian and Global math competitions. He appears in international media due to his powerful teaching methodology and his books are translated to more than 3 languages.

  • What is SEAMO all about?

    The Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad is a unique assessment platform that has helped more than 50,000 students across 15 countries achieve Global Recognition in the field of mathematics since 2016.

    Originating in Singapore, SEAMO's curriculum framework and testing methods falls in line with MOE's 21st Century Core Competencies. SEAMO's emphasis on Critical Thinking skills encourages students to make connections between different concepts and think out of the box in order to be successful in school and in the workplace.

    With this vision in mind, SEAMO has gained popularity among schools and parents to become the most highly acclaimed Maths Olympiad competition in the region. SEAMO will be conducted in 18 countries by 2019.
